🔉🔊 In Waing Maw Township, Kachin State, Burma (Myanmar) (25.155391, 97.504337), 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞 has been planted for more than 10 years. Chinese banana tissues are being sent to China through the #Kan_Paik_Ti China Border Gate from Waing Maw Township (25.405557, 98.118095).

Chinese banana tissue agriculture in that area is using excessive amount fertilizer, which is causing damage to the soil layers. Additionally, the improper handling of waste plastic used in the industry is leading to negative effects on the local community. It’s important to find sustainable and environmentally-friendly practices to minimize theses side effects.

The Chinese banana tissue has been more than 10 years in cooperation with the ruling government (Military Council) and #Lawa_Yang_Milita. According to a local resident, “it appears that these entities are primarily focused on benefiting their own family community and personal livelihood rather than working for the well-being of the people. Not for the people.”

Local farms are being destroyed due to the invasive cultivation of Chinese banana tissue. Additionally, the cultivation of Chinese banana tissue is used, the waste plastic is being released into the rivers, including the Irrawaddy River. Therefore, it is believed that the loss of natural resources in Kachin Land is due to the Lawa Yang Milita. These organizations and persons must take #responsibility for their action.
